This weekend I thought I would work on several of my 2012 goals: conquering my fear of triangles and using my good fabric.
I started cutting into some of my Flea Market Fancy stash and making blocks for the Playground Days quilt found in Material Obsessions 2. The block reminds me of a pinwheel and there are plenty of half square triangles. I supplemented the FMF with other Schmidt fabric that I got at Joann's.
I have created a small stack of blocks, with plenty more to go. Not sure I will get any more completed this week with company in town.
Linking up today to Design Wall Monday at Patchwork Times.
your block looks great, Mina =)
ReplyDeleteI love that block and to have it all scrappy with such pretty fabrics, ahhh, so nice. And use up that good fabric, it will get old and dated if you don't use it up while you are loving it!!
ReplyDeleteHi Mina, that block looks great. I have the same problem, sometimes I just can't get myself to cut into my good (favorite) fabric.
ReplyDeleteI don't like triangle either! That block is gorgeous :)
