This week I finished another Scrappy Happy Houses quilt from the pattern at Quiltville. This makes the third house quilt that I have made using this pattern, and I love it. When my scraps are too small for a 2.5 strip or square, they get cut down to 2 inches to use for house building.
I currently have enough houses made to make 1 and 1/2 more house quilts. My April goal for A Lovely Year of Finishes is to complete another house quilt.
Hopefully these happy houses will make someone smile because they will be part of my Hands 2 Help Challenge quilts. It's not too late too join in the challenge.
These are darling! What a great neighborhood you've created.
ReplyDeleteI'm in the H2H Challenge too! First time for me. What a happy quilt. Will definitely keep this in mind as I have, ahem, a lot(?!) of scraps, and lots and lots of teeny ones...
ReplyDeleteWhat a happy quilt. Don't you love revisiting those scraps to remember where you used that fabric in an earlier piece?
ReplyDeleteOMG! This quilt is adorable. I have made 6 house blocks and lost interest because I didn't have a vision on what kind of quilt to make with them. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great use of scraps! What a beautiful sunny quilt.
ReplyDeleteYour Happy House quilt looks great. I made 42 of the blocks, but didn't feel like making the wonky setting that Bonnie uses, so they are sitting in a pile. I like the way yours worked out. Thank you for sharing and inspiring me to put the blocks together without sashing.
ReplyDeleteBoth of your house quilts are sooooo cute. I made of quilt of houses and your quilts make me want to make another stack of house blocks. They are addictive.
ReplyDeleteAnother nice neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful finish.
ReplyDeleteI love house block quilts - they are so cheerful and fun! Thanks so much for participating in the Challenge again this year!
ReplyDeleteYour quilts came from Texas and are heading back to Texas to warm families who lost all in the recent floods. Mina, I wish I could hug you in person, I can't think of a better way to bless these families other than sending them home quilts for their new home! Blessings!
